The Namibian Index of Multiple Deprivation (NIMD) is a composite index reflecting five dimension of deprivation: material, employment, health, education and living environment deprivations. The first such Index was created in January 2010 for the Khomas region using data from 2001 population census. The NIMD and its component domains of deprivation were then produced at regional, constituency and dat zone levels using data from the 2001 and 2011 National Population housing Census.
