  • Evaluation of the Reduction of the Human Poverty Programme in Namibia

    The overall objective of the final evaluation of the Reduction of Human Poverty Programme (2006-2013) was to evaluate the degree of implementation, efficiency and quality delivered on outputs and outcomes, against what was originally planned or subsequently revised. It seeks to measure programme results and any potential impacts (short, medium and long term) generated by the programme.

    The development of appropriate curriculum and upgrading professional qualifications and classroom performance of teachers over the past years has played an important role in improving post-independence education system. Quality education is a crucial element of poverty alleviation and human development which are at the core of UNDP development strategies.
