UNDP Namibia participated in a Quality Assurance of the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management System and National Greenhouse Gas Inventories of Namibia workshop that assessed the country’s capabilities in compiling good quality inventories for submission to the UNFCCC
Additionally, the workshop aimed to identify further capacity building needs to pave the way for Namibia to not only meet its obligations but also satisfy the standards for reporting to the Convention. The workshop took place from 9-13 July 2018 at NIPAM in Windhoek.
Ministry of Environment and Tourism Namibia as the focal point of the UNFCCC, has so far submitted three National Communications and two Biennial Update Reports to the UNFCCC and is looking forward to complete and submit the Third National Inventory Report in December 2018 to meet its obligations under the Convention.
