UNDP Namibia  held a Talk on the SDGs in a Namibian context with students from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) specifically the Natural Resource Management (NRM) Honours students on 03 August 2018.

The aim of the course is to acquire a deepened understanding of relevant and practical Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) principles and components.

The course aims to fully equip the students with the necessary skills, strategies and tools for effective development and management of Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) and institutions such as communal conservancies, community forests, water point committees and basin management committees.

Head of Programmes at UNDP Namibia Ms. Martha Naanda gave a presentation on the SDGs and its progress to acquire them. The students and their lecturers then indulged in a discussion on the SDGs and how their fields of study contribute to development in Namibia.
