The “whole of society” approach under the leadership of governments is needed to address the development challenges that are adversely impacting the human development of citizens. As part of the response to this call, UNDP Namibia has been working with GRN and other development partners on various strategic issues, including the promotion of inclusive growth and sustainable development; alleviation of poverty; environmental sustainability, and climate change; and the fight against inequality and exclusion. The Namibia National Human Development Report (NNHDR) could not have come at a better time: GRN has set as a policy priority addressing the various forms and dimensions of inequality in Namibia, with a specific focus on vulnerable groups, including women and children, the youth, people living with disabilities, and the elderly.
